I am a computer pro, but I have never worked with linux.
I am now managing a FreePBX box with a 1.87.29.55-2 distro on it.
I would like to update this, but I have no idea where to start and how to backup.
Any help would be really appriciated.

I have a similar problem.
Yes, I read of of this, but I don’t quite know where to start.
So, did I get this right that I do not need to backup the whole computer, just use the FreePBX backup and restore function?
I need to upgarde to the latest 1.8 Version and than install a new version (on a different computer) and then restore the settings?
