Update OS?

Hi.
I start my learning curve with FreePBX, I setup the latest version, I know a little about Centos, my question is simple.

Once u install FreePBX, do we update our OS(Centos) using the same tool(yum) or with FreePBX exist other way?

Did you use the FreePBX Distro or something else?

I download FreePBX only.

Yes you can yum update CentOS no problem. I’ve been doing it for many years. Only problems I’ve ever had was with php updates changing permissions and breaking CDR db operation but they fixed that in FreePBX 2.10.
