Unable to receive (most) faxs

Hello everyone,

I’ve set up an incoming DID to fax recipient.
Some of the faxes go through but I fear many of them don’t get passed on properly.

I’m using a G200 digium PRI Gateway with T.38 enabled redundancy. same settings in freepbx chan sip page.

below is my fax stats :

when looking at the CDR log I can see the following :

many of the incoming calls to the Fax DID ends up with Hangup instead of ReceiveFax.
when looking at debug i see the following :
– Executing [s@ext-fax:5] ExecIf(“SIP/G200-HOT-00005a03”, “1?Set(FAXSTATUS=“FAILED: error: Disconnected after permitted retries statusstr: Disconnected after permitted retries”)”) in new stack

any help on how to troubleshoot this is much appreciated .

Well, it definately LOOKs like you are having isues but since you’ve cut out the CallerID’s don’t know. fax machine try again, so if you see a hangup, and then a ReiceiveFAX, then it’s probabnly working after a few tries.

Sending Faxes over VOIPis a tricky proposition, and we don’t do it. As for receiving a FAX, we don’t have any issues.

I believe you can add ‘fax’ to your log-files options in the GUI. It might show you WTF . . . .

same numbers are displayed as you described. hangup and then recievefax. sometimes just hangups.

ok thanks .
