A user only listens to voicemail through the voicemail applet in UCP. They were having an issue where messages were disappearing in UCP and she would constantly get an “Error” message in the browser when doing an ‘in app’ refresh.
She only had 5 messages in the INBOX.
Turns out the messages never get ‘renumbered’ starting at msg0000 when you delete them from UCP. When I did an ls on the INBOX folder they were numbered, 3, 45, 67, 99,100. Everytime she got a new message it would overwrite msg0100 causing UCP to throw an error.
I logged in to her VM via the phone then immediately hung up. Did another ls on the directory and they were numbered 0, 1, 2, 3, 4. We upped the limit per folder to 9999, with no change the problem will happen again but not for a long while.
Is the threory that people will go into their VM every now an again via the phone so no need to update when messages are deleted via the UCP?
