Two Companies, one PBX

Hey I’m trying to set up a PBX which runs two companies in the same building…

They have their own phone lines they want to use and I want to set it up so if say Betty dials her phone, it automatically uses the zap channels 9 or 10. That way Bill’s lines 1-5 are separate completely from hers.

I need to set this up in the most seamless way possible…

One way I though of, was if I created a dial rule like so 8|NXXNXXXXXX so that if someone dialed 8 before their phone number that they dial it will select line 9 or 10…

Seems like a rectal tonsilectomy to me though :stuck_out_tongue:

FreePBX does not have a multi tenent option currently to do what you are asking off the shelf (then there are many other things like seperate logs, different directory lists, restricting internl extensions, etc… the list is long).

BUT you can do what you are asking with some work. You need to make custom contexts for the trunks and each group of phones and then they are limited on what they can use to call out on, etc.

If you search the forum this is decused with ways of doing it also.
