I have Asterisk (Ver. 11.17.1) (64-bit) with FreePBX 2.11.0.43
I installed:
Text To Speech 2.11.0.10 Schmooze Com Inc Enabled
Text To Speech Engines 2.11.0.3 Schmooze Com Inc Enabled
It did create the flite entry in the Text to Speech Engines Settings, but there is no /usr/bin/flite.
I’m looking for the least dangerous way to install either flite or another TTS engine, the only purpose is to have the Directory speak the extension name if there is no Voicemail Greeting. Something K.I.S.S.
