Touch tone not recognized by system voicemail

I have a system that the touch tone doesn’t work.

When you call another company that requires you to use the keys to answer questions or check your voicemail you get login incorrect or numbers entered not recognized.

I am also getting this when I try to check voice mail the system allows you to enter extension but it tells you login incorrect.

Any suggestions?

Make sure your SIP phone is using the same DTMF format as it configured for that particular extension at FreePBX.

Check with your VSP what is the right DTMF format for them.
Then check your trunk configuration for that VSP and observe you sip debug during the call.
