Time to answer a call recording?

can i edit into CDR or any other module how long it takes takes to a person on an extension X answer a call?

In CDR you can see exactly each step of the call, but you cannot see the actual time it took for the extension to answer, you’ll have to calculate it yourself.

is there an option like this in any other module(even paid ones)?
or can do i have to edit something in asterisk?


IIRC, for inbound calls there are two times in the CDR. The first is the call time and the other is the “talk” time. It’s been years since I’ve looked at it, but open the database and look at the fields to see if that information is still there.

Another avenue would be to try using the Call Event Log (CEL) database. You should be able get the discrete events of call initiation and pickup.
