Time Conditions

I am wondering if there is a way to apply Time Conditions to a certain extension as opposed to the whole system. I have one person that arrives late every tuesday and he is our main operator. Right now I have an IVR setup that answers all incoming calls. Callers then can choose the extension of their choice, or wait on the line and be fowarded to the operator. Is there any way I can have the system automaticly foward those calls to another extension just on the specified time and date? I don’t want to mess with multiple IVR’s.

Hi talonslade,

Yes, you can set this up. In your scenario, it sounds like you should do the following:

  1. Setup a time condition that checks if the day is tuesday, and the hours are between 12:00am and the time the operator arrives.
1.1) If the time matches, set the destination to your failover extension that will answer the call.
1.2) If the time does not match, set the destination to your normal operator.
  2. Setup your IVR so that the destination for it’s timeout is the time condition you have just created.

This way, when someone times out on the IVR, the system will check if it is tuesday and before the time you set. If it is, it sends the call to the alternate extension. If it’s not, it sends the call to the op.
