While browsing the new forum today, Jan 14, 2013 at 9am Eastern I am getting lots of this error:

PDOException: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1040] Too many connections in lock_may_be_available() (line 167 of /var/www/html/drupal/drupal-7.18/includes/lock.inc).

PS - I love the capcha mechanism, I have never seen that before and it is WAY easier than the “decipher the hieroglyphs” style.

Yes we are aware of the error. It appears to be a bug in Drupal but we are evaluating a patch on this.
