Temporary Greeting?

What is a “Temporary greeting” (apart from temporary) and why and how would I use it?
I have read that people have had problems with it and I am given the option on my Yealink to leave a temporary message but I cant find out what it is and why I would use.
An explanation would be appreciated.

Comment: Just implemented FPBX 14 into the office after Elastix machine couldnt be revived. Took me some hours to get it up and running but very happy with the results so far.

This kind of stuff is used to forward your extension to this new message and keep your normal greeting message.
After deleting message, normal greeting will still present.
