WHEN I CALL IN FROM PSTN, IT KEEPS ON RINGING FOREVER.
HOW DO I KNOW IF MY DIGIUM TDM 400 CARD IS INSTALLED OK ?
I HAVE 3 FXO MODULES AND ALL 3 LIGHTS ARE ON. DOES THIS MEAN THAT EVERYTHING IS INSTALLED OK ?
CALLS ARE SUPPOSED TO GO TO THE IVR WITH AN ANOUNCEMENT AND FROM THERE TO A QUEUE. AGENTS WOULD PICK UP CALLS FROM THE QUEUE. ALL THIS IS IN PLACE BUT SOMEHOW DOES NOT WORK.
I WILL HAVE SOME MORE QUESTIONS REGARDING THE SECOND PART LATER BUT FOR NOW I WANT TO GO STEP BY STEP.
SO FIRST, IF THE LIGHTS OF THE TDM 400 ARE ON, IS THAT GOOD ENOUGH ?
OK I FORGOT.
I HAVE THE LATEST VERSION OF FREE PBX, THAT WAS DOWNLOADED 2 DAYS AGO FROM THE FREE PBX WEBSITE.
I DON’T KNOW FOR WHAT REASON BUT IT’S CALLED “FREE PBX 1.815.210.58”.
NOW TO ADD A COMMENT,
IN ELASTIX THEY HAVE A “RECOGNIZE HARDWARE” BUTTON. EVEN THOUGH THE LIGHTS OF THE FXO MODULES ARE ON, YOU MUST STILL CLICK THAT BUTTON TO MAKE ASTERISK RECOGNIZE THE MODULES. SO I WONDER IF THIS LATEST FREE PBX VERSION DOES ALL THIS AUTOMATICALLY ?

YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENS HERE IS THAT, EVERYBODY TALKS ABOUT SIP BUT ALMOST NEVER ABOUT PSTN. THE TDM 400 IS ONLY USED TO CONNECT TO PSTN. I DO NOT HAVE DID’S YET. SO I WANT TO GET THE SYSTEM TO WORK WITHOUT SIP OR IAX.

First, hit your caps lock key. Nobody likes being yelled at.
Second, you haven’t asked a question, told us what software you are running and now are making a ridiculous statement the FXO line support and other PSTN technologies are not documented.
Whatever, not sure what you expected. You never even asked a question or told us the system you are running. Read the DAHDI docs and turn you caps lock off.
Our systems work, your’s doesn’t so a little courtesy would have gone a long way.
