??? anyone else seeing this or know how to resolve the error ?

Remove the fop2-freepbx rpm.

ahh yes

the same one you mention installing in your docs …

heheheh

so will you remove it there as well ?
sheesh cmon man why offer an RPM as the fist option to install if its breaking your distro

from http://www.freepbx.org/support/documentation/installation/installing-the-freepbx-distro

"The Flash Operator Panel is a screen that allows an operator to control calls, using the FOP Password you configured above. It is disabled by default in the FreePBX Distro, but can be enabled in the Advanced Settings Module, by changing “Disable FOP” to False, clicking the green check-box to the right that appears after changing it to False, and then clicking the Orange “Apply Configuration Changes” at the top.

Alternatively, you can install the Flash Operator Panel 2 (a commercial product that works much better than the original, free Flash Operator Panel, but which has limited utility unless you pay for a license), by typing

yum install fop2-freepbx
"

arghhh

go packers !

Chris

First off those docs are not put out by us but by community members who have created them. Secondly we have tried to expand the eco system of FreePBX outside of just stock FreePBX items so if someone like the developers at FOP2 want a package included we will include it but can not guarantee it will work and that is why FOP2 is not installed by default in the Distro.

Once you yum install something it is all on you and for you to make sure it works and does not break items. Their is no way we can have the time to test everything and make sure things are not broke. When we added the RPM it works.

With all that being said the guys at FOP2 just sent us a newer RPM after asking for one for quite some time. It is now in the repos so you can install or update to that one and report back if it still has issues. Please note I have not tested it at all.

Tony Robert actually has to install FOP2 on four systems tomorrow.

If the new RPM is in the repo I will have him do a yum remove/install and let you know that it works.

I assume you still have to run Nicolas’s config script as if you had downloaded the RPM from him?

When you download from fop2.com it’s two downloads, a tarball with the Flash stuff and the daemon and the tqz with the FreePBX module.

no the RPM has the module and the daemons all in one.

the new RPM ( note the new name “fop2-fpbx” ) has resvolved the issue

thanks and all other items mentioned have mental notes attached for the future …

Hi,

Can explain what you did to resolve your issue please?. Currently i am having the same problem. I cannot understand or find anybody who has resolve it except you.

Thank you,
Regards,
Roddy

Ok in reference to the my problem. I open freepbx installed Parking Lot, and that fixed my problem.
