Sysadmin Auto Upgrades

I am finding a number of our systems (with Sysadmin Pro) that attempted to automatically upgrade from FreePBX 5 to 6 this week in various states if disarray. I usually have to spend a half hour or so getting it all straightened out by upgrading modules, fixing the “unsigned” problem, deleting iSymphony, etc.

Shouldn’t the upgrade process be taking care of all this on it’s own? It was sold as “automatic” after all…

The sysadmin module runs the upgrade scripts. If a upgrade script has a issue the module has no way of knowing that. It does the best job it can but the automatic part you were sold is to apply the published upgrade scripts which are all WITHOUT WARRANTY as stated in the upgrade scripts. To many variables at play on someones system to guarantee a OS level upgrade that everything works
