Switched from Yealink W60 to W80; can't register phones

Hi -

I’ve been using four W56 DECT phones with two different W60 base units without issue for a while. I upgraded to W80 (allows roaming between bases) and have registered one of the W56s to the base and configured an extension account. First I just used the existing extension I was already using with the other base (205) but I also tried a newly configured account (709). When I tried to register, I saw:

[2021-05-05 14:25:45] WARNING[2180] chan_sip.c: username mismatch, have <709>, digest has <vcs_ipcall>
[2021-05-05 14:25:45] NOTICE[2180] chan_sip.c: Registration from ‘“709” sip:[email protected]:5060’ failed for ‘192.168.4.241:5060’ - Username/auth name mismatch

I tried to find others with a similar problem, some suggestions were to try Connection Type= friend or peer or user. It sounds to me as if “Friend” is most appropriate, as extensions will appear to come from the same IP (of the base) - but I tried all three. Setting “Connection-Type” to user still failed but appeared in the logs only as a bad password:

[2021-05-05 14:22:34] NOTICE[2180] chan_sip.c: Registration from ‘“205” sip:[email protected]:5060’ failed for ‘192.168.4.241:5060’ - Wrong password

Any ideas?
