We just got approval to install FreePBX, iSymphony, and Digium handsets for our company. Our IT committee was rather impressed with the laundry list of things FreePBX could do relative to the other commercial systems. Testing has gone quite well and I actually did a stress test using Twilio and Mayhem (here’s a link to my discussion on this over on Spiceworks). I’ve got a handful of users testing normal functionality and we’ll be rolling it out a week prior to our actual number port. That way users will get used to seeing the phone on their desk and even use it for internal calling. Any other “best practices” or advice you guys have on deployment?
