Strange codec behaviour

Hello, im using freepbx version 13.0.192.16. Im not entirely sure about what codecs if ny I may need to purchase but from what I’m reading online, it seems to suggest that. The issue is we are having trouble calling only a handful of 1300 numbers within Australia using Engin as the SIP trunk provider. All our calls go through this provider so on the whole it is OK. Its only certain 1300 numbers that I get this error. Majority of 1300 numbers work fine. The error I get is codec error as below:

[2018-06-15 15:01:21] WARNING[3361][C-00000035]: channel.c:5540 set_format: Unable to find a codec translation path: (g729) -> (ulaw)

Do I need to pay for and install G729 codec? I have an office of 10 users, would I need to buy 10?

Regards

you need G.729 support, you may use freepbx-14 which supports g729(free) or buy transcoding cards or g729 module from digium to let them work.
