Stopping and Starting Asterisk and Voice mail permissions issue

If you have to stop and start asterisk, and you’re logged into the system as root, new voicemails will not be able to moved around by the user (Moved from one folder to the other)

I restarted the box, and new voicemails are written with the correct permissions. Which begs the question-

How should one do testing/configuration of the box, if they have to stop and restart asterisk via SSH?

What account should you log into the box with if that is required, or is there a command to stop and start that takes care of the issue.

stopping asterisk as root is not a problem. It’s starting it up right that’s the issue.

amportal start is always a safe bet and it will make sure that all the other FreePBX requirements are also set.
