[Solved] PJSIP with multiple registrations: busy handling

Some of our empoyees have both a desk phone and a mobile phone, both registered to the same PJSIP account. Everything works as expected, except for one thing: if one of the phones is in a call, the whole extension should be busy and further calls to that extension should go to the busy destination.

I have already tried to set “Device State Busy at” to “1”, but a second call still rings the second phone, instead of being forwarded to the busy destination.

What am I doing wrong?

Could be Call Waiting since that’s how it works. Have you tried setting it to something like 2 or 3 to see what happens?

you nailed it! “Call Waiting” was the perfect hint. I am not too familiar with parts of the PBX terminology, I thought “Call Waiting” was just to an already accepted call that was placed on hold…
