(SOLVED) Help with making / recieving calls from Dahdi

First off I am running Asterisk 1.6.0.15, FreePBX 2.6 on Ubuntu 9.04 server

Trying to be able to make calls from the Digium AEX844B (4 FXS and 4 FXO)

my config files are as follows:

dahdi/system.conf

echocanceller=mg2,1-8

And change channel 2 to use the kb1 echo canceller.

#echocanceller=kb1,2

fxoks = 5-8

fxsks = 1-4

chan_dahdi.conf:

;[general options]

usecallerid = yes
hidecallerid = no
callwaiting = yes
threewaycalling = yes
transfer = yes
echocancel = yes
echocancelwhenbridged = yes
rxgain = 0.0
txgain = 0.0

;[FXS Modules]

;[default]
;group = 1
;signalling = fxs_ks
;context = Internal
;channel = 1-4

;[FreePBX]
signalling = fxs_ks
callerid = asreceived
group = 0
context = from-zaptel
channel = 1

signalling = fxs_ks

signalling = fxs_ks
callerid = asreceived

;[FXO Modules]

I have added this to the default extensions.conf

[internal]
exten => 9000,1,Dial (DAHDI/1,20,rt)
exten => 9000,2,Voicemail (1000,u)
exten => 9000,102,Voicemail (1000,b)

exten => 8500,1,VoiceMailMain
exten => 8501,1,MusicOnHold

exten => _9.,1,Dial (DAHDI/g2/www${EXTEN:1})
exten => _9.,2,Congestion

[Incoming]
exten => s,1,Answer
exten => s,2,Dial (DAHDI/g1,20,rt)
exten => s,3,Voicemail (9000,u)
exten => s,103,Voicemail (9000b)

ok I have created 4 ZAP channels each with there own zap group within freepbx for my POTS lines
also create outbound routes
and inbound routes

also an extension:

This device uses zap technology.
channel
context
immediate
signalling
echocancel
echocancelwhenbridged
echotraining
busydetect
busycount
callprogress
dial
accountcode
callgroup
pickupgroup
mailbox

added this to the bottom of the users.conf file

[9000]
fullname = Joe User
email = [email protected]
secret =
dahdichan = 5
hasvoicemail = yes
vmsecret =
hassip = yes
hasiax = no
hash323 = no
hasmanager = no
callwaiting = no
context = international

Outcome is this

I have a dial tone on phone, but can not make or recieve calls

FreePBX status shows:

FreePBX Statistics
Total active calls0Internal calls0External calls0Total active channels0
FreePBX Connections

also the asterisk log shows this (if it helps):

I can not find answers to any of this anywhere.
Maybe I have to start from scratch again, if I don’t get a response soon. I have been configuring this now for 2 weeks and still can’t make any calls.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I ran /usr/sbin/dahdi_genconfig

it fixed the dialing in and out problems :slight_smile:

sometimes its the easy things that are overlooked.

Hi all,
my store it’s little bit longer…jeje

I’m setting up asterisk in tow machines… I mean, it’s a VPS, where i couldn’t install the dahdi in the VPS because it’s need to identify the hardware, so I installed dahdi in the host, and the rest of asterisk in the guest, because I’m running OpneVE container modality…

So, I’m using asterisk only as a SIP client, not a getwa. So, I receive calls from SIP trunck using inbound routs, all it’s correct.

But, outgoing routes not working, I get error, and in log I have:

[Nov 2 17:45:35] WARNING[6216] file.c: File check-number-dial-again does not exist in any format
[Nov 2 17:45:35] WARNING[6216] file.c: Unable to open check-number-dial-again (format 0×4 (ulaw)): No such file or directory
[Nov 2 17:45:35] WARNING[6216] app_playback.c: ast_streamfile failed on SIP/1092-00000053 for silence/1&cannot-complete-as-dialed&check-number-dial-again,noanswer
[/QUOTE]

So, following your solution, runing /usr/sbin/dahdi_genconfig, it’s normal that will not work in the guest, because dahdi is not theire…
and doing the same in the host, where Mr. Dahdi is installed, I get

Any proposition?
