SOLVED - Digium TE PRI lost when upgrading from 6.12.65-27 to 10.13.66-1

I just carried out upgrades through the CLI.
Starting from a perfectly running 6.12.65.27.
I now have reached 10.13.66-1 and can’t find the Digium PRI card anymore.
Digium Card is TE235B dual Span T1/E1/J1 2xPRI

I have upgraded further to 10.13.66.2 version, and I now find some error messages, see below.
I am no asterisk/freepbx expert. I was able to get to a running well system.
Reading that my running version was end of life, I thought it was a good idea to upgrade.

I might accept to get back to old version. If only I knew how to…

I installed following upgrades until 10.13.66.10.
Without any success regarding the PRI card. Still not working.

Well. I tried various settings. no luck.

The ISDN PRI card is
dahdi_hardware pci:0000:01:00.0 wcte43x- d161:800e Wildcard TE435/235

But:

dmesg:
wcte43x 0000:01:00.0: Firmware version e0019 is running, but we require version 13001e.

So it is “just” a firmware issue. Probably easy to diagnose for anyone else but me.

Digium 1TE133F no long appears after updating to 5.211.65-6

I was able to resolve this issue once I looked in “dmesg | grep dahdi” and saw a message complaining about older firmware. The upgraded DAHDI is apparently looking for the latest firmware from December. To fix the issue, I downloaded the version 780017 firmware for my card from http://downloads.digium.com/pub/telephony/firmware/releases/. Since you’ve got a TE133, the file you need is dahdi-fw-te133-780017.tar.gz. I found the firmware file in two places on my system, and didn’t know which was…

Solution is probably to get updated firmware provided by FreePBX updates.
That is missing.

I can’t imagine that a FreePBX update is going to help you here. You need to download the firmware from Digium.

Well,

I can’t imagine that a Digium Card listed as

certified YES / tested YES

here: http://wiki.freepbx.org/display/FPG/Supported+Cards
does not work out of-the-box, and requires a “manual” firmware update.

That is why, I have spent a long week-end (I was actually lucky to have 3 days instead of 2) trying to understand my mistake. And I still strongly believe that it is not MY mistake, at all.

I end up with a too up-to-date system.
BTW: It works.
