Silence for 3-15sec at beginning of cal with some devicee

I have recently started building a FreePBX server (latest version on the latest Debian) on a VM to replace the old Alcatel Lucent PBX at a hotel. The FreePBX Firewall is enabled, and there is also a Mikrotik router/firewall in front.

I am trying to repurpose one of the Alcatel Networked phones (Deskphone 8008) to use SIP and connect directly to FreePBX.

I am fairly certain it worked well a few days ago, but now, when I make a call, the call succeeds, but there are 3-15 seconds of silence at the beginning.

When I make the same call from a Gigaset cordless phone registered on another extension on the same FreePBX, or from the Alcatel PBX connected to FreePBX through a Patton ISDN/SIP gateway, everything works fine from the start. They are all on the same VLAN.

It seems to be an issue related to the Alcatel phones, but the settings in SIP mode are minimal (account, server, mode asterisk…) and it was working fine a few days ago.

Here the [Dropbox](Call Log).

Any ideas?

Have you tried watching the asterisk cli during a call, or checked the logs, to see what it is doing if anything, during that 3-15 seconds?

asterisk -vvvr

It is not the same as the log I pasted?
I’m just a beginner but after looking at it I can’t see anything suspicious.

44:00 to 44:20 is empty. Do you have debug logging enabled?

Maybe try replace the Alacatel phone with MicroSIP or some other SIP client to see if you can rule out the Alcatel.

I think it was enabled.
The problem is related to (something of) Alcatel Phone because with Gigaset VOIP cordless works fine.
But we have a lot of these alcatel phone and we need to try to solve.

Not sure how, but the issue seems disappeared.
