P series phones, primarily P330. FreePBX 17. New client is having an issue with the BLF function. Incoming calls hit a ring group which rings all the phones they have around the building. All the phones are also BLFs on each phone. If someone is on the phone, it shows solid red which is normal (now changed to solid amber through endpoint manager). When someone external calls in and hits the ring group, all BLFs flash red, even the ones that are currently in-use. What they would like is for the in-use status to override the ringing, or possibly make rining do nothing for those BLFs. Any way to do this?

Have you tried toggling the “Skip Busy Agent” setting on the Ring Group ?
No, but wouldn’t that then not ring who is on the phone? For this use case, they still want to be able to see calls coming in while on the phone.
Well, they would see it light up all the other users’ BLFs who are not on the phone.
Alternatively, you could provide a BLF for a new queue extension number, placing it at the same key on each phone, so it would always blink even if everybody is already on the phone.
