Sangoma phone not ringing intermittently

Hey,

We are running FreePBX 15.0.16.67 add using Sangoma S505 phones which are at a remote office.
The phones are registered correctly and have no issues dialing out. What we are seeing recently is that some inbound calls do not ring the extension, even though the caller hears the ringing and according to the asterisk logs the phone should be ringing. After 15 seconds (default ring time) the call goes to voicemail, which is as programmed.
On the phone it does display a missed call, but the actual phone never rung.

Here is an example from the logs

[2020-08-13 11:39:11] VERBOSE[28635][C-0000002f] app_dial.c: Called PJSIP/825/sip:[email protected]:63381;x-ast-orig-host=192.168.10.116:5060

[2020-08-13 11:39:26] VERBOSE[28635][C-0000002f] app_dial.c: Nobody picked up in 15000 ms

The RTT for all phones at this location is around 40ms and the issue appears to be intermittent.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this and how to resolve?

Thanks

Hi

My first think is to update your system and module.(Yum update -y and fwconsole ma updateall)
Next try to update the firmware for Sangoma phones and check if Sangoma phone has been updated correctly.
Ensure that you select the good slot in EPM to get the right firmware. And you need to update your system before.

That will be the first steps to do, and check if this issue exists yet.
Maybe a small reboot after…

Just an idea like that.

Thanks for the response.

I have updated all modules, as well as the OS (yum update) and also ensured the phones are on the latest firmware. Also rebooted the server and the phones after their upgrade.

Will now monitor and see if this is resolved.
