I have a sangoma phone and every 5 seconds in queries the DNS servers is that normal? The PBXact server is in a remote location.

What is the TTL (Time-To-Live) of the DNS records it queries?
If it queries them more frequently than their TTL than something is wrong…
Do you have multiple Sangoma phones and do they all do that?

TTL is 5 minutes… I only have 1 sangoma S700 and 1 Polycom. The Polycom queried the DNS server ( 4.2.2.1 )once yesterday. The Sangoma S700 literally every 5 seconds.

Does the phone have a static IP or DHCP assigned?
If it is DHCP assigned, does it do the same thing with its DHCP lease too?

It has DHCP assigned IP and no it does not do it for the DHCP lease.
