S500 xml-api keys

Hi,
Strange issue with the s500 phones I just got. They seem to work fine until I goto add xml-api keys to them through EPM, upon adding the kys the phones become unresponsive, the dial tone / all audio is then very bad (very hard to describe), its almost like the cord on the handset is bad but then there is a huge delay in hitting blf keys, for example I will press a blf key to call someone and then it will (try to) call on speaker 30 seconds after hitting the key, with a large amount of static in the speaker or handset. I have to completely factory reset the phone to get rid of the xml keys then. BLF keys seem to work fine though, I just cant add any xml-api keys…

This makes no sense. Can you open a support ticket at [email protected] under the phone department.

We will need you to reconfigure it with Apps then go into the GUI and download the syslog from Management > Configuration and also download the Device XML Configuration from the same section and attach it to the ticket.

We looked at the other user who was reporting this issue and his PBX was flooding the phone with notify messages.

Can you run the following command. ps aux | grep restapps from the linux CLI and report back here what it shows.

After that make sure all your modules are updated for FreePBX 13 first. After that can you run

ps aux | grep restapps from the linux CLI and report back here what it shows.

While I cannot speak for OP, but I am having the same issue when adding restapp keys on my S500. The phone seems to become almost completely unresponsive. Removing the keys resolves the issue.

Here is the output for the command you requested for OP:

[root@pbx ~]# ps aux | grep restapps
asterisk 2197 0.1 0.0 108256 796 ? S 00:12 0:00 /bin/bash /var/www/html/admin/modules/restapps/launch-restapps.sh

Are all your modules updated in FreePBX?

Can you attach the syslog of your phone to a support ticket at ussupport.sangoma.com.

Yes, everything is completely up to date.

I will get a ticket created asap
