When a call is received though my trunk it passes through the inbound route and into a ring group. I have set the ring group to forward the call to the voicemail of one of my extensions. I have recorded a greeting on this extension for all the states (unav, busy etc) but it still plays the default voicemail greeting. Does anyone have any idea why this is?
You mot likely don’t have something setup incorrectly.
It would be easier to assist you if you provided a bit more info as as wll as a call trace.
That happens when you call the extension directly and let it go to voice mail?

How exactly you configured the ring group to send the calls to the voicemail? If you used the destination if no answer, if you have enabled a voicemail there will be multiple options depending on what messages do you want to be played to the caller.
