I didnt know until tonight that the admin module does not update asterisk too. My bad for sure but I took a wild stab and just upgraded to 1.8. I have this error on the status screen, does anyone know what this means?

retrieve_conf failed to sym link:
/etc/asterisk/chan_dahdi.conf from dahdiconfig/etc
/etc/asterisk/extensions.conf from core/etc
/etc/asterisk/iax.conf from core/etc
/etc/asterisk/features.conf from core/etc
/etc/asterisk/sip.conf from core/etc
/etc/asterisk/sip_notify.conf from core/etc
This can result in FATAL failures to your PBX. If the target file exists and not identical, the symlink will not occur and you should rename the target file to allow the automatic sym link to occur and remove this error, unless this is an intentional customization.

remove extensions.conf?
isnt that one needed?

Yes, but it is symlinked from core/etc

remove all those files that it is complaining about form the /etc/asterisk directory.

Once you have done that ,press the orange bar again and your issue should be gone.
