Restoring asterisk 1.4 settings to asterisk 1.6 works?

I am planning to migrate to new machine and upgrade my asterisk from 1.4 to 1.6.
If I take a backup from freepbx (running asterisk 1.4) and restore it on same version of freepbx but having asterisk 1.6, will it work ? Or do I need to manually enter all the settings.

When you click Apply Changes it will detect that you run Asterisk 1.6 and change the configuration accordingly.

Just make sure that all your setting in astdb are restored.

thanks ! that will be a great timesaver. how do I make sure that all settings are restored in astdb ? Is there a command/utility for that ?
