Restore test confusing, not sure if it worked correctly

Doing a restore from backup test on a fresh install and up to date FreePBX17 which is fully up to date and unactivated.
NO paid modules are installed on the system that was backed up. ( this system IS activated )

During restore it appears to hang in this section and never complete.
But I do see a “close” button.
I was not paying attention to if that button was there the whole time or appeared at the end.
I currently have no idea what scribe is.
Do I need to worry about this?

THANKS!

Restored system is NOT working correctly.
System recordings page has error:

You have no sound packages installed in the Sound Languages module. Please install at least one language to use System Recordings

If I click on add the page crashes.
As seen in attached screenshot.
I of course do not have this problem in the system that I backed up.

Ok, that was a rabbit hole that was easily fixed.
Just had to go and install a language pack as directed.
But should that not have carried over from the backup & restore?
Did I miss something in the backup options?
My original question at the top remains: restore appeared to have hung with error at the “Stopping Scribe Service” stage.
And never displayed anything further.

Anyone have any thoughts on this one?
Thanks.

Hi @michiganbroadband
The sound language files will be redownloaded during restore, not sure why it didn’t download for you, please check the restore logs for the same.

new version of recordings module has fix for above error v17.0.2.16.

If you are not using the scribe module then you can uninstall it.

Thanks.
I will keep testing.
I’m not even sure what Scribe is?
This caused what looked like a hang and no completion message or status.
Making it look like it completely failed.
Will check log.

Reaching back on this one..
Does the box need to have an Internet connection to restore?
Might explain part of it but does not explain the total hang and no messages about anything.
I would have expected the audio files/Language settings would be in the backup.
I had the restore offline as to not bring up the active SIP trunks on the restore test along with the live ones.
