I just installed the new sng7 system on my phone server. I am now trying to restore my system onto the new system. I have stored the full backup on on computer that I use to access the GUI. I access the GUI from the other computer, go to restore, browse for the file on my desktop, and click restore. it says uploading but nothing happens after it uploads. Is there something else I need to do? Do I need to copy this to the freepbx server somehow? I don’t know why I can’t upload this file and restore my system configurations. I am hoping it will have all my deployments, etc.
It sounds like you want to backup and restore between versions which is not possible…
If I recall correctly it will only supported in a future version and then only for the versions that will come after it…
Your best course of action would be to restore your backup to the same version of FreePBX it was made on and then take all necessary steps to upgrade from that version to the next one.
If you are using the FreePBX 13 distro this means running the distro upgrade script, if you are running another version the steps are different…
I installed my old 10.13.66.21 and when I attempted restore I get this error

Then i can’t get anything to work. This is after my restore from the same backup. I did do a asterisk -cvvvvv and i could see it had a lot of my old settings but i can’t get anything to work.
Tried to upgrade and it wont get past distro-upgrade as it says it needs asterisk 13.
