Restore from FreePBX 2.9.0.12 (Asterisk 1.6) to FreePBX 3.211.63-2 running Asterisk 11

Hi,

I have a FreePBX installation running Asterisk 1.6 that I’d like to backup and then restore to a FreePBX 3.211.63 / Asterisk 11 installation. Should mention that the original FreePBX installation was via AsteriskNOW.

Tried a backup just doing System Configuration but that just broke the new installation when I restored it.

Is there an easy way to restore the config settings (not bothered about any history, CDR etc) - Just want Extensions, trunks etc.

Not a *nix whizz so if it involves editing then I’d need a break down :slight_smile:

Don’t forget to use the bulk extensions and DID’s to get all your extensions moved over.

You can use the scp utility to move all the voicemails and greetings.

There is no easy way to restore between versions. You might have to just rebuild the new system by hand.
