Reset failed message

I keep getting reset failed wheh I hit re-read configs, my system works just fine, I am trying to add to extensions.conf, but even when I take out what I added and try re-read configs it still says reset failed, anyone know what may be the problem.

there is no freepbx supported configedit module for freepbx. Sounds like you are using someting that is un supported (or that someone else (?trixbox?) puts on their distro. You’ll have to try to find the source to help you.

However - as a general rule, for those rare times you need to edit a config file, it is better done in a word processor (vi, nano, etc.) and you can simply type reload at the cli.

where is there a ‘reread configs’ option?

logon, select tools, select edit configuration, select Re-Read Configs at top

  • now I have ‘Reset Failed’ messages.

Update

Added error messages in php.ini I now get something meaningful when I first enter edit configuration
