Red bar is persistent

On FreePBX 2.3.1, my red bar is persistent and I do not know how to correct the problem. It started after I was adding a sip extension and then I accidentally triggered a reload or the the submit button. The partial form got flushed and I had to reenter my sip extension. All seemed well except when I clicked on the red button and confirmed the reload freepbx seemed to hang. I waited it out but it did not get resolved. So I did an “amportal restart” from the console. My new sip extensions were now available. However, the red bar is peristent and clicking on it just makes freepbx hang.

Any ideas how to resolve this?
