Recording Quality for IVRs

The 8kHz limitation for IVR recordings generates very poor quality audio… is there any way to hack up a solution that will allow us to increase the quality of the audio - perhaps by allowing us to use a 44khz setting for the file.

These probably isn’t a way. I see two file formats .gsm and .wav. So, far while the .wav is infact a larger file ( so much so that people want smaller.)

So, I wonder if you couldn’t clean up the sound a different way?
