i have Asterisk 13.10.0 on SHMZ release 6.6 machine.
we have a problem that too many recordings file types - wav , ulaw , sln48
ones in a while i see recordings are gatherd to 20G !
whe i hear the recordings its a real conversation between extentions and client and
the original recording is saved at the /var/spool/asterisk/monitor
i dont understand what make this recordings copy them selfs.
logs have no record on this.
file name exsample :
you may check the call recording options from :http://wiki.freepbx.org/display/FPG/Call+Recording+walk+through
maybe disable the options you do not need.
it does not help.
my option for recordings is for extensions is "force"
and on demand is disabled
check in the file
/etc/asterisk/asterisk.conf if you have some caching configuration:
cache_record_files = ; Cache recorded sound files to another
; directory during recording.
record_cache_dir = ; Specify cache directory (used in conjunction
; with cache_record_files).
They suppose to be deleted after moving the files to the right place.
Check the permissions as well (
In the worst case, you can always delete them through a daily cron job .
this is my conf in /etc/asterisk/asterisk.conf file :
i tried fwconsole chown lets see if it stops it.
the interesting thing is that all of our PBX is from the same image - some have this issue some not.
i will update and if anyone have more ideas ill be happy to try
Check it and come back to report. It seems as permission problems from your last explanation.
