Recieving FAX

First of all I want to thank everyone.

I installed the distro "STABLE
SNG7-PBX-64bit-1805-1 "with Asterisk 15, but I can not receive faxes 99% of the time the reception fails and incoming faxes do it by G.711 without using Spandsp T.38.

I have tried to change from 9600 bps to 14400 bps, but I can not get it to work.

I have tried many things, and I have been trying and testing for more than a month without any results. Can you help me?

Thank you!

Well does your provider support T.38? Does it deliver in T.38 or does it use g711? You need to make sure your trunk is supporting how the provider sends faxes. If they send them as T.38 then you should have T.38 enabled. If you don’t, they’ll fall back to g711 (maybe, that’s their choice).

Hi thanks.

Yes, my provider uses T38. Everything worked until I installed the new FreePBX ISO 14 :frowning:

And did you set things up in this install to use T.38? You have your trunks/SIP settings setup with T.38 enabled?

many thanks!

It is fixed.
I added this line in the trunk configuration “t38pt_udptl = yes”

and now I can receive faxes, now use T.38 and not G.711
