Public IP changed and now inbound calls wont work

Public IP changed and now inbound calls wont work. Outbound still does work. I assume this is a problem with NAT forwarding on my router? Has anyone seen this before?

I have changed the public IP of my workplace to the new public IP in all required interfaces - my phone carrier providers dashboard, the FreePBX → Settings → Asterisk SIP Settings menu, and my softphone provider Ringotel website.

I guess this is a router problem but not sure. Outbound calls work. Has anyone seen this before?

Rebooting my router fixed the problem whatever it was

Same concern for us today too.

Public (WAN) IP address changed.
After changing the IP in the PBX (SangomaOS)
FreePBX → Settings → Asterisk SIP Settings

inbound was not working, but outbound was fine.

The PBX sits on a LAN (NAT) behind the router with the public IP.
No remote IP phones. Just the SIP circuit from the PBX to the ITSP.

Rebooting all items is what is going to clear this up too.

Although routers have memories of previous routes, they are not clairvoyant, you would need to ‘flush’ the routes (or reboot)
