Problem with system recordings

Hello,
mi configuration is :

Debian 5.0.4
Asterisk 1.6.1.18
FreePbx 2.7.0 with modules updated

I want register a messages, so I go to “System Recordings” and set my extension number “4013” for use the phone to register.

while I’m recording the message the file wav is created :

-rw-r–r-- 1 root root 131116 7 apr 11:37 /var/spool/asterisk/tmp/4013-ivrrecording.wav

but, as soon as hangup ( with my phone 4013 ) the file is deleted :

centralevoip:/var/spool/asterisk/tmp# ls -la
totale 8
drwxrwxr-x 2 asterisk asterisk 4096 7 apr 11:37 .
drwxrwxr-x 10 asterisk asterisk 4096 26 mar 08:47 …

So when I try to save the recording FreePbx tells me :

[ERROR] The Recorded File Does Not exists:
/var/spool/asterisk/tmp/4013-ivrrecording.wav

Why is immediately deleted the file before it can save him?

If I upload a wav file manulay and then save it all is ok.
Best regards
Obe.

Try pressing the “#” key when you finish recording instead of hanging up.

Thank You very much.
Now are all OK.

So I am having the same problem–on the surface. I record a system recording from my extension–which it can then play back to me, yet there is nothing in the /var/spool/tmp directory, nor can I save the file… I get this message:

[ERROR] The Recorded File Does Not exists:
/var/spool/asterisk/tmp/4600-ivrrecording.wav
make sure you uploaded or recorded a file with the entered extension

I am quite sure I have the right extension number and I kept checking the “ls -al” of the tmp directory during, after, etc. the recording. No file present.

The system will gladly play my recording back to me, but I cannot save it.

Ideas?

just found out that another of our engineers registered the extension to another box…which completely explains it. please ignore my previous post.
