Polycom soundpoint 331 can't dial out

This my very first try at freepbx and VOIP in general. i’m trying to add a new Polycom soundpoint 331 to an already working Asterisk server. I’ve gotten as far as a dial tone but can not successfully dial out. When I dial a number the line seems to disconnect. I checked the line status on the phone which says not activated. Is this related. Other phones on the network say activated.

Can you receive a call?
I just setup a Digium phone and had a similar response when dialing out. It turned out to be the dial map in the phone didn’t match the dialing rules on the switch so would just disconnect. The default, that you are told by the phone manufacturer should be left alone, was completely wrong for the switch setup. As soon as I updated the dial map it began working perfectly.
