Plans for WebRTC Phone?

I love the new WebRTC phone!

Are there any plans for WebRTC phone to work on systems with the following config?

FreePBX 2.11.0.23
Asterisk (Ver. 1.8.16.0)
PHP Version 5.3.10

It will never work on Asterisk 1.8, that is a feature limitation of Asterisk itself as the websockets protocols only work on Asterisk 11+
