Pjsip set history on

I am using FREEPBX 15.0. 16 full distro version on Asterisk 16

When I log in to view logs, I see this all through the logs

I actually do have an ext 101 and some of the DID’s I recognize as frequently called numbers. But at the time I see this we are no dialing any numbers. Some of the DID’s I see that says, “does not exist . . . .” are numbers we actually dial from time to time but haven’t dialed in quite sometime.

I am just not sure where these erros are coming from

A bit of background. A BLF button on a phone has an LED, and the LED changes depending on the status of the programmed device. The mechanism by which this is done in Asterisk is called a hint. So the phone does a SIP SUBSCRIBE to a particular hint which tells Asterisk that it wants to track the status. Asterisk in turn will send a SIP NOTIFY whenever the device status changes, and the phone interprets the NOTIFY to make the appropriate LED changes on the button.

The error message notification is telling you that the phone is attempting to SUBCRIBE to a hint that doesn’t exist, which indicates a misconfiguration of the phone. You appear to have programmed your external speed dial numbers into BLF buttons instead of speeddial buttons.

Your explanation makes total sense! Thank you for taking the time to explain that to me

One note: On the Yealink T54 I did originally program the speed dials as such, but had to change them to BLF because of a weird fluke. When I programmed it to speed dial it auto inserts a hash tag before dialing each number. I did not put the hash tag as the speed dial, but it did that, causing the other parties system to take the hash tag as someone trying to enter their voice mail system

so on the yealink t54, I changed all the speed dials to BLF and that stopped the speed dial from automatically entering a hash tag. Never could figure that one out

But what you say makes perfect sense and I never thought of it.

THanks again Lorne!
