Phones provisioned externally with pjsip show user internal IP instead of external in endpoint

I have several home users that have a physical phone. If the extension is pjsip the phone registers with endpoint and shows the users internal IP (192.168.x.x). When watching the logs if you try and call them it tries to originate the call using that unreachable IP. Chan_sip extensions work just fine and even show the external IP in endpoint. How do I get external phones using pjsip to register with the external IP of the home user instead of the internal?

OK, I found it. It seems that the behavior of new PJSIP extension creation changed at some point recently, as new PJSIP extensions used to have Rewrite Contact enabled by default, and now it isn’t. Is there a way to make this enabled by default for new extension creation?
