I’ve got everything set up - can make incoming and outgoing called with ease. However, when an incoming call comes in, the phone does not ring. The lights flash and the LCD screen displays the incoming call and caller ID, but there is no actual audible alert that it is ringing on the phone. Is there a setting I’m missing for this? Its a Mitel 5330e.
Obvious question - have you turned the ringer down?
You can check the /var/log/asterisk/full log and see what the phone is sending for Alert-Info. Note that you may need to do a SIP-DEBUG on the extension to get the Alert-info ringer information.
Solved the issue. The speaker on the phone packed it in.
That would do it.
