I am in need of a password protected inbound route. What would happen when a user calls this inbound route is they would be asked for a password and once they enter the correct password they would then be passed on to an announcement and then passed on to a ring group. Is this possible in FreePBX? If you need more information please let me know. I am running the FreePBX distro. Thanks ahead of time.
Just create an IVR with an announcement that says please enter your passcode, then in that IVR enter your extension number (PIN) and select as your destination a ring group with an announcement enabled. You can time out your IVR to terminate the call if they don’t enter a valid “PIN”
