Parking Pro - Parking to assigned lot

Greetings.

I am attempting to use the Park Pro module with assigned parking lots. I have each extension assigned to their own parking lot via the GUI.

I found *88 feature code that is supposed to park a call to their assigned parking lot, but when I attempt it while on a call, all i hear is DTMF and nothing happens on the PBX side of things. Am I missing something?

*2XXX works when parking to the parking lot extension. As does using the traditional “##” asterisk DTMF transfer.

Bummer, I guess it makes sense then. Is there a technical reason behind this?

Ok fair enough. My last question then is in what situation would this be used? I am just trying to understand the function of it.
