I just saw the new panel module available in http://www.freepbx.org/trac/browser/contributed_modules/release/panel-1.0.tgz .
It seems that the tar is containing just too much stuff: it contains a complete copy of all the contibuted modules, in a directory called contributed_mosules itself.
Maybe there has been a packaging mistake.
