Paging Rings Phones

I am trying now to get paging working. I have Cisco Ip Phones and auto answer page is on by default on the phones. I have tried *80 and it rings the phones instead. It is weird? I have *80 set as the paging code in the phone config as well.

What “cisco ip phones”. They make about 20 different models.

Using paging groups works great just not *80 and the extension.
