P330 suddenly phones cannot make any calls, but can receive calls

Softphone and analog phone connected to ATA work.

This is a Freepbx16 Distro working for almost a year.

What, if anything, appears in the Asterisk log for an attempted outgoing call? What is displayed on the phone? What does the caller hear?

The caller dialing out hears nothing except for finally a fast busy some 30-60 seconds. The phone display never progresses to a completed call. And, there is no info at all in the asterisk log, as if the call attempt never even hits the free pbxserver

Possibly the dial plan is messed up. Does it behave differently if you enter the number on-hook, then press the Dial softkey?

No, it behaves the same way…nothing happens.

I suspect a fragmentation issue. On the P330, try enabling no more than two codecs.
If that doesn’t help, do you have a way (e.g., managed switch) to capture network traffic at the P330?

There was only one codec enabled -Ulaw. The phones were setup using DPMA, and several ports are required for everything to work-there is more going on than the sip signaling port, and the RTP ports. AND, those ports have the requirement that HTTPS is used. I manually configured some S705 phones just using port 5060 and 10,000-20,20,000 for rtp, and those phones worked.

I had three clients that were affected by this, two of them were using Starlink as the ISP. The other was AT&T residential fiber. At least one of the two starlink locations has since suddenly stopped having the problem.

I just started experiencing a very similar issue to this with a P310 & P325 yesterday at one of our branch locations. We are migrating all of our phones one by one to a new FreePBX 17 server(coming from FreePBX15). We were trying to replace D50s with P310s and a P325, due to this issue we ended up just keeping them on the D50 phones and migrated those, which worked fine. We weren’t able to figure it out.

The phones could receive calls, could dial out to a cell phone, but could NOT dial any internal extension company wide. When we tried to dial out from a P325(to an internal number) and I was watching server side, I saw nothing show up on the server like it was even attempting to make a call.

Did you figure this issue out?

I believe that I determined that Starlink was interfering with the secure communications used for DPMA on P Series phones. I switched to S705 phones. I had another site, also on Starlink, and they reported the exact same issue, but it was resolved before I could get a good look at it.

P-Series phones require the use of a valid cdertificate to use DPMA, and to use some of the “Soft Keys”. I think your issue may be different in nature than what I was experiencing, as both of these deployments worked for more than a year, and both simultaneously began having the same issue. I had one other client that uses P-Series phones at multiple sites, and only one of those sites (one using AT&T Residential fiber) was having this issue which seems related to the secure communications requirements of P-Series phones using DPMA.
