Outside Calls not reaching the Directory

Callers reaching my IVR cannot reach the directory by pressing #. The prompt comes back stating “that is not a valid extension, please try again”.

When I rechecked by IVR setup screen, I do not have the option to “enable directory”. My installation of FreePBX is

How can I correct this?

Use the new Company Directory and set a destination (you can choose # or something more ‘friendly’ to the users and system.
